The concept of stopping time is poetic, and the idea is truly similar to a game idea that appeared on the streets not long ago: the Chameleon. With a dynamo made from a toy car engine, we make a wall clock work. With a door lock, you release the metal latch, and you have to manage to hook it onto one of the clock's hands. You need to be quick, and you will find the magical moment when the passing of time is not important.
